Chinese New Year starts on Monday, January 23 this year and I had fun trying out one one of the easy Chinese New Year recipes from VH. Since Chinese New Year lasts for 15 days you have time to check out these easy family friendly recipes under the Chinese New Year Tab on the VH Facebook page.
I decided to make the Steak and Veggie Noodle Bowl.
I could not find the Japanese Style Udon noodles, but I loved that the recipe was so easy so I could just swap out the noodles for ones I could find. The recipe was quick to make and an absolute hit with my family. I was actually surprised at how well my girls ate this meal. The VH® General Tao Stir-Fry Sauce had a little bit of a kick to it, but everyone finished their serving and asked for more!
I loved that as a busy mom I could still introduce an ethnic meal to my girls and tell them about Chinese New Year without having to spend hours preparing a cultural meal.
