Valentine Fun with colored water!

I set out some bowls of colored water and some tissue paper and coffee filters.

Look at these beautiful colors

Even the paper towel we used to clean up the mess turned into beautiful colors

We used the colored paper to make a bunch of fun Valentine’s Day crafts.

I believe that children should have time for open ended art, so I left everything out on the table. Look at this LOVELY child inspired work of art!

So beautiful, and I love how you let the girls extend them into their own projects.

Very nice! I did a similar activity with coffee filters and markers (we painted over the marker with water), but I love how yours turned out--so vibrant and the colors ran together so nicely! I think we'll try it this way next. Looks like you were pretty liberal with the water, so I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the idea!

Love how pretty these are! We did something similar last week (posting about it in a couple of days)... they are lovely hanging in the window, aren't they?!
