TIPS FOR RE-ENERGIZING AFTER THE HOLIDAYS

You have been relaxing with family, sipping eggnog and eating cookies but the holidays are soon creeping to a close and it will be time to return to your normal routine.

Although you have been relaxing, the holidays are also a bit of a stressful and busy time.

The return to normal routine can have a huge impact on your energy levels.

TIPS FOR RE-ENERGIZING AFTER THE HOLIDAYS

The truth is after any large event, whether it be a vacation or the holidays, there is a bit of a letdown.

Thankfully there are ways to re-energize after the holidays and get back to your daily routine without the post-holiday fatigue.

HAVE SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO

A contributing factor to post-holiday energy loss is the disappointment that the holidays are over.

We spend a lot of time trying to get ready for Christmas and it no time, it seems to end.

Without having anything to look forward to, it can be difficult to get back to the daily routine.

In fact, with the weather potentially causing some cabin fever to sink in, it can be even more difficult.

Give yourself something to look forward to in order to avoid the energy slump.

Plan a party, a vacation or even just try something new.

This will give you something positive to look forward to, helping you re-energize.

MEDITATE

If you feel as though your energy resources are depleted, take a break and meditate.

Breathing has a huge effect on your energy levels, so take time out to simply focus on your breathing.

A simple walk outside, enjoying nature and breathing can help to refresh your brain, improve your creativity and your focus.

SET GOALS

Setting goals for after the holidays can have a large impact on the way you operate day to day.

Having something that you wish to achieve is a great way to focus on positivity and re-energize after a busy holiday season.

SET ASIDE TIME TO RELAX

It doesn’t mean the relaxing is over just because the holidays are.

Make sure to remember to set aside some time for you to relax.

Whether that means a hot bath, a good book or a delicious glass of wine, you need time to recharge, so make some.

There are several ways to re-energize after the holidays.

Give yourself something to look forward to, meditate, set goals, and set aside some time to relax.

You will be glad you did.

I start my spring clean up after the Holidays! Started walking on treadmill today and back to Aquafit on January 3rd. I took the last few days to relax.
