Read New Stories & Classics with Star Bright Books

Since we are a book-loving family, getting new books to read is a HUGE event here at our house.

We love to read new stories, and I get excited when I can share classic stories with my kids.

Star Bright Books is a small publisher that provides hundreds of books for you to share with your kids.  Not only do they have books for all your children’s age groups, they also have books in 24 different languages!  Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and more, there is something for everyone.

We received 4 great books from Star Bright Books to review.

My favorite book was Valentino Finds A Home.  This book, written by Andy Whiteside, tells the story of a little guinea pig, who keeps getting mistaken for a rat.  Valentino desperately wants to find a home and travels from Bolivia to find the perfect home for him.

I remember reading the story The Bremen Town Musicians when I was in elementary school and was excited to be able to share the story with my children.  If you are not familiar with this story, it is a Grimm Brother’s Fairy Tale about 4 animals who’s owners are talking about getting rid of them and they take matters into their own hands.  They head to the town of Bremen to play in the town band.  Along the way, they come together and a strong bond of friendship is formed.

Cradle Me is a book that shows the art and tradition of carrying babies on cradle boards that is still carried on by the Native Americans.  At the back of the book are the words in a Native American language for each page.

Zachary’s Dinnertime, written by Laura Levinson, is a book that explores different foods from different ethnicity’s such as: African American, Japenese, Mexican, Israel and Indian.  Zachery has chores at home surrounding dinnertime that he is not thrilled with, but by visiting his friends homes for a week during dinnertime, he begins to realize those chores make him part of a family.  I loved being able to share this book with my kids and teach them a little bit about the different cultures around the world.

Have you read any of these books or others from Star Bright Books?
