Sleeping Babies

Since I recently wrote about how much I love to rest I thought I would write about how much I love it when my kid’s rest as well.

I  can not even express how much I love when my daughters are asleep. Not just for the obvious reasons either. They look like angels. There is nothing like sleeping babies. They look like they could never possibly do anything wrong ever. Their eyes softly closed in rest. They are perfect and all I could ever ask for. Even when they are awake. When I am at my wits end. They are the same angels asleep at night.  That is so hard to believe sometimes.

As mothers we talk a lot about our children. We share pictured with strangers and stories of their births to anyone who will listen. We write blogs that describe our life with these little peculiar humans that change every possible aspect of they way we live. We have battle scars (stretch marks) from them being in our stomachs. We have clothes full of stains and days when we are not able to shower. I think our reward is watching there sweet faces completely still in slumber.

My daughter’s share a room. We gave them the largest room so it would fit a bunk bed and a crib. I dream of one day having them in different rooms and definitely having more than one bathroom! But in reality having all three of them tucked into one space where I can see them all sleeping like angels is really special.

I know they will not always be this young and impressionable. They feel so safe in my care and it is my job to keep it  that way. I hope when they are grown and staring at there own perfect sleeping babies that they will know someone felt the exact same way about them when they were little.
