No, it’s not fruit cake but topping your cake with fruit adds a lot of color and pizzazz.
You don’t need a lot of skills to cover the sides of a cake with wafers or cookies and to top it with some colorful fruit.
I used strawberries for the red but some candied cranberries would look really cute too.

Now that deary is a cake! I love cake when it has fruit. Always so beautiful. If I attempted to make something like this, I think we'd all be amused with the outcome and look! Definitely wouldn't look as fabulous as this cake.

The cake is beautiful! I find that when I use fruits in my cakes, it tones down the sweetness in a natural way. Great idea!
