I knew that Newmark Learning had great books because we own a bunch of them.

What I did not know is they have a great online interactive program also.  We all know that quality educational games on line are hard to find.  That is why the people at Newmark learning have come up with a genius solution that combines playtime and education.

Newmark learning has lots of educational books that are meant to stimulate the mind and help children at any age or learning benchmark grow.  Newmark learning has taken those books and put them online.  Now children can hear the stories they love and learn about everything from money to colors to fruit.  And the Newmark learning folks have made the online books have the ability so your children can read along.  The computer says the word while highlighting it for the child.  With options of letting your child read on their own or unassisted, this makes for a great learning opportunity for your child.  There are options to shade out certain words, highlight words, read words by page, write in the book with colored pens, zoom in or out and so much more. I also love that all books are leveled. There are both Rising Readers Leveled Books and Sight Word Readers.

At the end of each book the fun and education does not end.  Attached to each book are Reading Extension Activities.  The activities help teach your pre-schooler or grade school child about grammar and vocabulary and identifying sequences using the story they just read.  This helps the children learn because of the association about what they just learned about in a clear simple way.  There is even word searches tied to some books using the words they just learned about in the story.

There is no shortage of books for Newmark Learning, and they even have them broken up into fiction, science, math and social studies categories.  And with matching logo’s for each category this makes it a breeze for children to navigate their way through this great learning opportunity.

Newmark learning really nailed this idea and has made this a hit in our home.  Our oldest child loves to play on this site and we feel completely comfortable doing this based on the content of the site.  I would encourage this product for anyone wanting to give their child an additional chance in school or to prepare them for school.
