I love Christmas! Dear hubby and I have been married for almost 10 years (has it really been nearly a decade!?!) Every Christmas we buy a new Christmas Ornament for the tree. We have also celebrated Christmas with my family Christmas eve so I guess that would be considered another tradition
I am actually most excited about the Christmas traditions we started when we had our children. One thing we do is set up our Christmas tree the evening of November 11th after we have taken time to respect Remembrance Day. Another tradition is opening Christmas gifts Christmas morning. Daddy makes a wonderful breakfast for his two three (me included) girls and reads the Christmas Story from the Bible. Then we put on Christmas music and open our gifts. We also take time to pray for the children who receive the gifts we sent out. Every year we donate gifts to a local charity or Operation Christmas Child and so praying for the children who receive those gifts on Christmas morning has also become a special tradition.
In years past I have always done Christmas baking. This year I did not and it has felt a bit strange. Since I can not eat dairy, sugar or yeast (Another post on this coming soon!) baking is almost impossible this year. It is ok though because I did manage to find something I will be able to enjoy for Christmas baking. The ingredients are dates, unsweetened coconut and almonds. I plan to have a baking evening with my 2 little girls soon. I’ll let you know how it goes!
Let me know your traditions from past or present! I can’t wait to hear about what other do!

Jody, Love your family Christmas card. Can't wait to get one in the mail:)

Will link up hopefully today...we are still in the midst of decorating our tree that stands 14 feet high, so it is taking some time.

As far as Christmas traditions, we make a gingerbread house every year. This year, we are going to make two and be in a competition at Downtown Disney.

One of the houses is made out of gingerbread and the other...is a surprise! Will post photos next weekend. The contest is next Friday, so it should be fun.

Talk to you soon!Colleen:)
