Magellan RoadMate 9055-LM {with FREE lifetime map updates}

I was really excited to receive the Magellan RoadMate because my husband has been wanting a GPS system for our vehicle for quite some time. Here is what he had to say about his new man toy.

This past month I had the privilege to review a new toy!  The Magellan RoadMate 9055-LM. I travel a fair bit for work and often have to go to new locations both rural and downtown (often during rush hour).

When I first opened the box and looked at this GPS I was blown away by the size of the screen.  This GPS boasts a whopping 7 inches.  When turned on this makes for easy finding and gives very clear directions due to the large screen. I like that I can easily see where it is that I have to go without squinting at the screen.

The other feature that caught my eye was the mounting arm.  The good folks at Magellan clearly placed a lot of thought into this arm due the fact it can be mounted in virtually any type of configuration.  It is heavy duty and fits well in our family vehicle.

The GPS easily detaches from the arm so it can be brought inside when the vehicle is not in use.

I have come to appreciate the OneTouch feature.  This feature basically makes short cuts for any destination, or application.  With one touch you can get make the GPS do any feature once programed. It is great to have shortcut options during the rush home if I’m caught in traffic.

Another nice feature is the built in Bluetooth capabilities.  This GPS can easily be paired up with your cell phone, once paired your GPS on demand can directly dial any type of business’, services and  point of interest. At the press of a button I can call the local florist to have flowers ready for me to pick up for my wife or at the touch I can order a pizza to pick up. What a phone book!

The ease of navigation is also a breeze.  With suggestive texting for locations this GPS unit will narrow down searches before you have a chance to finish.  And once you have found your location you have the option of searching for the fastest time, shortest distance, mostly or least use of freeways.

I saved the best feature for last. FREE lifetime map updates! Everyone knows what a pain it is to have to pay every time you want to update you maps. I’m glad Magellan included this. It makes it a great choice!

Would I recommend this GPS?  In a heart beat.  Even quick trips into Winnipeg are a breeze now thanks to its ease of operation.  Thanks Magellan
