Baby showers are a fun get-together to help celebrate Mom and baby.  Whether you had your baby shower before your baby was born or afterwards, your baby shower is your chance to be pampered.  I have been to lots of baby showers other than my own — with friends, co-workers and family members it seems that there is never-ending invitations to this joyful event.

Some of my favorite parts of baby showers are:

The Food!  I can never seem to get enough of baby shower food.  With all the danties and cute-themed cakes & cupcakes, I feel as if I could eat forever!  (Not a good thing for my waist-line)

The Gifts!  I love checking out all the cute outfits and seeing what great gear the mom will be toting her little one around in.  Fisher Price has many, and I mean many, different baby gear items which are sure to make your life with your newborn easier.

The Baby!  Who doesn’t love baby cuddles and that fresh newborn smell?  If my husband is invited to a baby shower, he has a little trick on how to get the most baby cuddles.  He waits until everyone else has had a chance to hold the new baby.  Then when it is his turn, he knows that there is no pressure to give the little one up! (Sorry honey, your secret is out!)

If a baby shower is thrown BEFORE the baby is born, some moms-to-be reveal the gender of their baby by cutting open a specially made cake or hiding a clue somewhere in the shower decorations.  Kind of a cute and fun idea if you ask me!
