Have you ever considered a potato cauliflower mash? Cauliflower mash is a popular substitute for mashed potatoes. However, if your children are anything like mine, they are not fond of new textures. While a cauliflower mash is a healthy alternative to mashed potatoes, the texture is very different and can be a turn off. By adding potatoes to your cauliflower mash, you are adding more vegetables and nutrients while keeping the texture more consistent with what people are familiar with.

I like this recipe very much. I think it would be a fun way to add more vegetables to our table. I agree that mashed cauliflower alone might not be a hit. combined with mashed potatoes and the other ingredients in your recipe, this dish should be a big hit. Thank you so much for this recipe.

This is a great compromise.
My kids like mashed cauliflower – which I call fauxtatoes – but they prefer potatoes. This is a good “meet me in the middle” alternative. 😉
Delicious!
