Funkins Cloth Napkins
We use napkins in our home at pretty much every meal, and my daughter takes napkins to school in her lunch kit as well. Buying paper napkins that get used once and thrown away is not only expensive but also bad for the environment.
In addition to this, my daughter’s school has started what they call “Trash-less Tuesdays”. On Tuesdays at lunchtime all the garbage cans disappear and the kids need to either bring a lunch that consists of no trash or take their wrappers and trash home with them. Needless to say, opening up a lunch kit at the end of the day and seeing garbage being brought home wouldn’t be the most enjoyable thing.
So I started on a mission to find cloth napkins for her to take with to school. I searched home stores and dollar stores and what I found I didn’t really like. The napkins were really thin and my daughter DID NOT like the designs.
Then I heard about FUNKINS. Funkins are bright, colorful, printed, reusable cloth napkins that are made especially for kids.
The double-sided patterned napkins are large enough to use as a napkin or placemat for dirtier eating surfaces. The napkins are made from 100% cotton and since they are doubled up, make a nice, thick wiping tool that absorbs and does not rip. Funkins are perfect for lunch boxes and are great for on the go.
Funkins also has great holiday napkins for Halloween and Christmas. Perfect for those holiday parties.
My daughter was absolutely thrilled when she opened up her lunch kit the other day and saw a Funkin napkin tucked in it.
The first words out of her mouth when she came home were “This napkin is SO great! It’s big enough that I could clean up my juice spill and still be able to wipe my hands after lunch! Everyone wanted one.” I love the Funkins napkins because they are cute for one, but also because they are machine washable and I don’t need to keep buying paper napkins.
Not only are Funkins great napkins, but they have some other uses on their websites that I would never have thought to use them for. Check out these other great ideas:
