These delightful fudgy brownie bars do not have a light cake-like consistency.
These are thick, dense and rich brownies with a fudgy center. And best of all, you can easily whip up these delightful treats in no time!
They’re also a great dessert to make ahead of time, as they taste even better (if that’s possible!) the next day!
I have been making these brownies for 16 years now, and this is still my go-to recipe for parties and functions.
There are never leftovers, and everyone is always sure to be begging for the recipe! These are spectacular on their own or serve them warm with ice cream.
YUMMY!!!
FUDGY BROWNIE BARS
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup cocoa
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- In a large bowl, beat together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla with a spoon. Add flour and salt and stir until incorporated. Add cocoa and stir. Add chocolate chips and stir until well blended.
- Using a spatula, pour and scrape batter into a 9”x13” glass baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes. Brownies may seem ‘undone’ but they will continue to firm up as they cool.

I have not done it, but I assume you could. You may have to bake it a little longer. Let me know how it turns out for you if you double it!

These brownies look and sound ahhh-mazing! One question: Do you use plain (all-purpose) or self rising flour?
