Halloween on Disney Junior & a Disney on Ice Contest! #DisneyJuniorMom

Fall is here!  The leaves have changed into beautiful colors and are falling to the ground below.  We are lucky in the fact that we do not have a lot of leafy trees in our yard, but yet somehow those leaves blow into our yard with the daily winds.  Our favorite thing to do in the fall is to take walks as a family.  Last week we took a walk to our favorite ice cream shop and were excited to get in one last ice cream cone before the season ended.

On our family walks we often look at and marvel at the beauty of the trees around us.

Halloween is just around the corner and we as a family love getting creative with our outfits!

Halloween 2011

This year we will be donning these costumes – a hockey player for my son (Calgary Flames of course because they are his favorite team), a queen for my daughter (because she has been a princess the last 2 years and wanted something different — silly girl) and Dilbert for my husband (because, well, he’s a self proclaimed geek).  As for me, I’m not sure what I will go as this year.  In the last few years I have gone as a cat and a princess.  Better get moving though since there is only 2 weeks to go!

My kids have been looking forward to Halloween, not just because they enjoy dressing up (and getting candy!) but because Disney Junior has been showing Halloween themed episodes!  They cannot wait for October 30 & 31 since Disney Junior will be showing Halloween-themed episodes ALL. DAY. LONG!

Check out Disney Junior’s Halloween Colouring & Create section for great Halloween themed coloring pages:

Princess & Heroes

Disney on Ice Princess and Heroes

Have you been to a Disney on Ice show?  We surprised my daughter when she was 4 years old with a trip to the city to see the Disney on Ice show.  We didn’t tell her until it was time to leave and she was SO excited!  We made the evening extra special by bringing along her aunties and Grandma.
