We are a family that loves to settle down in the evenings and watch movies. We are to the point now with our kids that watching a movie is not a boring event for hubby and I. Disney makes some of the best movies for family night!
My kids were excited to see that some of the Disney DVDs we received were Christmas ones! With the thrill of newly fallen snow they have been in full Christmas thinking mode. We set up our Christmas tree this weekend and these Christmas movies from Disney were the perfect accompaniment to the festive tradition.
Mickey’s Christmas Carol
Mickey, Goofy, Donald and all their pals star in a heartwarming retelling of Dickens’ unforgettable holiday tale — A Christmas Carol. Ebenezer Scrooge is far too greedy to understand that Christmas is a time for kindness and generosity. But with guidance from some wise ghosts and new friends, Ebenezer learns to embrace the spirit of the season. This 30th Anniversary Special Edition of Mickey’s Christmas Carol is perfect to share with friends and family this holiday season. You will even find fully-restored classic holiday shorts to laugh along with your family and all-new bonus features!
Winnie The Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year
Get ready to ring in the season with a full-length adventure straight from the heart of the Hundred Acre Wood! Join Pooh and all his friends in Winnie The Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year. This sparkling holiday classic is an inspiring celebration of friendship.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! But Rabbit will only discover the true spirit of the season after his pals make some misguided New Year’s resolutions to change. These resolutions have hilarious and heartfelt results!
From above the world of Cars…. It’s Planes!
This summer, the movie Planes came out. There was lots of hype surrounding this movie since the Cars franchise has done so well. Disney has hit another home run with this family friendly movie.
Join Dusty, a crop duster, in a once in a lifetime chance to take on the world’s fastest flyers in the greatest air race ever! Dusty’s courage is put to the test with a little help from his friends. You can experience this uplifting story of bravery and friendship on Blu-Ray with fantastic bonus features.
The Little Mermaid Ariel’s Beginning & The Little Mermaid II Return to the Sea
We love the movie The Little Mermaid. My daughter and I sing along with Ariel’s songs and Sebastian makes everyone laugh. In The Little Mermaid Ariel’s Beginning, we meet Ariel and her 6 sisters long before Ariel walked on land or met Prince Eric. During this time, music was banned from Atlantica! Ariel, her sisters, Sebastian and Flounder work to bring music and friendship back to Atlantica.
In The Little Mermaid II Return to the Sea, we meet Princess Melody — Ariel’s daughter. Even though per parents tell her that merpeople and Atlantica are just old fish tales, Melody dreams of being a part of that world. In an unforgettable story, all good creatrues on land and under the sea will join forces to show Melody that both her worlds can live in perfect harmony.
Jake and the Neverland Pirates — Never Land Rescue
One of our favorite shows on Disney Junior is Jake and the Never Land Pirates. Who doesn’t love magic, adventure and mystery? In this full-length adventure the fate of Never Land hangs in the balance as magical treasure are mysteriously vanishing — Jake’s sword, Izzy’s pixie dust and even Cubby’s map! Jake must go on the “Forever Quest” to restore power to the source of Never Land’s magic.
All these DVDs (except for Jake and the Never Land Priates) are available in Blu-Ray/DVD combo sets. These combo sets would make great stocking stuffers this Christmas!
