Creating a Reading Area for Kids

I have been a fan of Newmark Learning since I first heard about their huge selection of books and resources for parents and educators.

I love reading and I want my girls to grow up loving to read.

3 Tips to help children develop a love for reading

1) Create an inviting reading area

Reading Area

My girls love their reading area. It has a comfortable place to sit, a small lamp, a plant and of course books for them that are easy to access.

2) Have high quality books available. We have a large selection of books from Newmark Learning that are a great asset to our reading area. The books have beautiful pictures, strong pages and are available in many themes and reading levels.

3) Read with your children & let them see you reading too. My daughters love having me read books to them. I’ve also noticed that when I am reading a book silently to myself, they will grab a book from their bookshelf and sit and read to. It makes me happy to see.

Kids Books

Newmark Learning not only offers great books for a child’s home reading area, they also offer many books and resources for teachers, home schoolers and even a wonderful program for E-learning.
