Snow White has really enjoyed practical life activities that involve eggs. I think it may have something to do with her little sister getting THESE for Christmas. A while back I let her help me peel eggs.
I decided it could not hurt to let her try to crack eggs. I gave her a small bowl to crack an egg into. Next she would pour that egg into a larger bowl. Then she would crack another egg into the small bowl and continue the process.
I was amazed that she cracked open 4 eggs and did not have any egg shells get in the bowl.
She was so very proud, and so was this Mama!

What a neat activity! My son is obsessed with eggs and would absolutely love to help with them while baking, but he's allergic. Right now he's enjoying cracking plastic eggs. Maybe one day!

Um... I can't even crack an egg without at least a TINY shell landing in the mix!! Way to go Snow White!! :)

What a great idea! I usually crack the eggs myself when my son helps me cook but I think I start having him practice this. Thanks

I loved cooking with my mother. My favorite childhood memories involve me as her sous chef. It sounds like you have a natural :)
