Citizenpip review & Starter Kit giveaway (CLOSED)

The winner of this giveaway was chosen by random.org. The winner, #8 Rowell Owl, has been e-mailed and has 48 hours to claim the prize or forfeit it.

I recently had the opportunity to review the Soup to Nuts kit from Citizenpip. Citizenpip was created by a mom of 3 who was tired of throwing out all the plastic baggies and decided to come up with a reusable system.

Our daughter has just started all day kindergarten (every day) and I wanted to be sure to have a lunch system that would fit our needs.

Here are the top 5 things I love about our citizenpip Soup to Nuts kit:

1) promotes a waste free lunch
2) easy to open containers
3) no lead, BPA, or phthalates
4) super cute insulated lunch bag
5) containers do not leak

I have also been happy that the insulated food jar keeps food nice and warm. I put boiling water in it for 3-5 minutes and then pour out the water, put in the hot food and it is ready for her to eat at lunchtime – no need for her to wait in line for the class microwave!

Here is a picture of the one of the lunches I packed for my daughter in her airtight containers.

Citizenpip has offered to give one of my US readers a Starter Kit. ($42 value)

THE STARTER KIT INCLUDES:

  • 1 insulated lunch bag
  • 1 stainless steel water bottle
  • 4 airtight airtight food containers

Whether you are just getting into the habit of packing a waste-free lunch, or supplementing your current waste-free gear, the Starter Kit gives you a solid headstart for packing a waste-free lunch. If your kid loves turkey and cheese, or can’t live without PB&J, this is the kit for you. Kind of like food armor, the square sandwich container protects your sandwich from being squished. Don’t be surprised though if you find yourself using the square container for something other than sandwiches. Absolutely airtight and leakproof, these containers can handle anything from fruit salad to yogurt! Three smaller containers perfectly fit sides and snacks.
