When Memories Collide #SaveWithBarbie

Where does the time go?

I remember laying on the floor in my bedroom, lost in the world of imagination with my Barbie family.

Since I was an only child till I was 11 year old I spent many hours playing with Barbies. I was lucky to get a “new” Barbie if my mom found a good deal on one at a yard sale. These Barbies became my sisters and friends, they were always there for me when I felt alone or when I wanted to have fun. I loved living, playing and dreaming in my own fantasy land.

Now I blink and I see my girls laying on the floor of their tiny shared bedroom talking and giggling away with their Barbie friends. 6 year old Kate makes sure the Barbie family and friends are always being nice and following the rules and little Jane just loves to change their clothes every few minutes. One minute Barbie mommy is ballerina, the next minute a doctor…moms take on many roles you know!

I smile.

Memories.

Soon my girls will be grown and not only will I remember how much I loved Barbie, I’ll also have memories of my girls laying on their tummies with their feet in the air and the sound of laughter as they made Barbie memories of their own.

I love when memories collide.

Aww, what a sweet post! I have the memories, but in our house now it's all Hot Wheels and Spiderman...can I confess I totally love spoiling my little nieces with Barbies and other girl toys? :)

I'm glad you have nieces to spoil...My daughter absolutely LOVES the last Barbie Christmas movie, she could watch it all year around. I actually love watching it too LOL.
