FALL FOR CARVED TURKEY : SANDWICHES AND SALADS YOU’LL LOVE

A few weeks ago I was invited to the Country Apple Orchard to meet Subways executive chef Chris Martone and get a taste of the new Carved Turkey Sandwich that is available at participating Subway restaurants starting today, October 11, 2016 and only available for a limited time.

Let me set the scene for you. We drove up to the Country Apple Orchard and it was absolutely beautiful. They had a tractor ready to give us a hay ride. There were cozy red blankets to put over our legs as we drove through the orchard looking at the varieties of apples that were ready for picking. After the hay ride we were treated to appetizers and drinks before were sat down to lunch.

Facing the orchard were beautiful wooden tables and antique looking chairs with wool blankets hanging over. The Fall flowers on the tables just added to the relaxing atmosphere. It was cozy and breathtakingly beautiful, we enjoyed great conversations and laughter with our new friends from Turkey Farmers of Canada.

Chef Martone shared his inspiration behind his latest creations over a one-of-a-kind luncheon featuring fall flavours (think over-roasted carved turkey, savoury cranberry-infused mustards and a hint of apples and cinnamon).
