Until about 2 years ago, I was always looking for ways to organize ponytail holders so that they would not clutter up a whole drawer in the bathroom.
With 2 beautiful long haired daughters, you can imagine the supply of ponytail holders in our home is rather large.
We were at a friends house at when I used her bathroom I noticed a carabiner with hair elastics on it. That day I went home and organized the girls ponytail holders into the small ones and the bigger thick ones and put them on a carabiner – they have stayed that way ever since.
This is one of my absolute favorite organizing ideas of all time. And the best part it – it works! We have been doing this for 2 years – I do not miss the days of the overflowing cup of ponytail holders which made a mess whenever the girls could not find the exact color they were looking for.

Great idea. I have a little storage container from Ikea that has all our hair clips and ties in it but they are still always getting mixed together and then spilling out when the girls go to grab what they want from there. I could keep the carabiners in the container to keep it organized.
