Have Your Next Family Game Night with Mattel Gameology!

Having just completed the Mattel Gameology Facebook app, we were blessed to have several games sent to us for a family game night. Our extended family had a gathering at a hotel several hours away and this was the perfect opportunity to have a large family game night.

And a great time we had.

We started our game night adventure with eight of us playing Apples To Apples.

Apples to Apples is a great game where you have find out where the “thing” goes with the description. It was a great time where we discovered that Albert Einstein is boring and Cheese Cake is gross…according to some people.

At the end of the evening we didn’t even keep track of score and we were not even sure who won. We just played and played until the hotel staff told us it was lights out. Good times had by all.

While we were playing our “adult” game, our girls had their own game to play with. I have to admit it was nice not to have to entertain them and they were still having fun. Even though we had a technology ban for the night, girls still managed to get their Angry Birds fill.

This game is a great opportunity for them to build their own structures and place their pigs in their desired places. A spring loaded sling shot then flings the birds towards the pigs waiting to be pummeled.

The second game of the night was Skip Bo. This is a game where you try to get rid of all your cards, playing them on piles in numerical order from 1-12.

Once again it was a great time where we had snacks, drinks and fun galore. Once again the hotel staff had to cut our fun short as it was once again time to kill the lights.

Thanks to Mattel, our family had great a quality and fun time together. The Gameology app really helped us find out what we liked and it translated into a great time.
