Oh this popsicle stick Christmas Tree… There is nothing sweeter than a handmade Christmas tree ornament made by the kids. Well, I guess it is sweeter when it is EASY to make.
This pom pom, popsicle stick Christmas tree ornament is so cute and it’s easy to make even for the littlest fingers. (Speaking of little fingers, be sure to check out this salt dough handprint ornament)
For this Popsicle stick Christmas Tree Ornament craft you will need:
- Green popsicle sticks (purchase green ones, or paint them green)
- Pom poms (we chose to use red, green and yellow)
- Glue (we used a hot glue gun)
Trim 3 popsicle sticks, each one a little shorter than the next. Glue each popsicle stick horizontally onto one vertical popsicle stick. Be sure not to start right at the top or bottom as you will want to leave room for the tree trunk and the top for the “star”. Leave space between each – no need to measure, just guess.
Let it dry and then glue pom poms onto the tree as desired, we chose to use a bigger yellow pom pom on the top as a star.

I remember doing these when my girls were little, we went through a lot of Pom poms. This craft will never get old.

I like these- they almost look like something you'd see in IKEA, very simple and colorful.
