Piggy Paint ~ Review & Giveaway! (CLOSED)

Say Good-bye to harsh, smelly chemicals and HELLO to Piggy Paint…It’s as Natural as MUD!

Piggy Paint is a natural eco-friendly nail polish designed for girls who like to be fancy or dress it up!  It’s odorless, hypoallergenic, water-based formula makes it safe to use on any little piggies.

Even without all the toxic chemicals, Piggy Paint dries to a hard, durable finish.

Piggy Paint also has some great tools on their website how to use their product as a learning tool.  Some of their suggestions center around colors, patterns & fine motor skills.  Check out their great ideas HERE!

I have an almost 5 year old daughter that loves to play dress up and be pretty.  She has asked MANY times if we could paint her nails and I try to avoid it as much as possible because of the harsh smells!  When we do paint her nails we do it in a sunroom or somewhere that is well ventilated.

When I had the opportunity to review Piggy Paint, I thought this would be a great product and it was!

We received the Sea-quin color (a blueish green) and the Girls Rule! color (a purple).

Girls Rule! & Sea-quin

When I received the product I immediately opened one of the bottles of nail polish and inhaled to see what the smell was like.  I was very happy!  You could smell that there was something in the bottle, but it was not a harsh smell and it didn’t bother me at all.

While applying the nail polish (first to my toes and then to my daughter’s) I was impressed with how smoothly it went on and how you didn’t need a lot to cover the surface of the nail.  They also dried quickly which is always a bonus when you are painting little piggies 🙂

My daughter loved receiving nail polish “with PIGS on it!”  She especially loved the Girls Rule! purple color since purple is her “most favorite color!”

She was ecstatic to show off her tows the next day; even on the kitchen table at Grandma’s!

Melanie Hurley is the founder of Piggy Paint.  She is a stay-at-home mom with 2 very fancy little girls who love to have their nails painted.  She always hated the thought of her girls putting their fingers in their mouths after she had painted their nails with the traditional kids polish.  Not only did the ingestion of chemicals worry her, but the smell nearly left them light-headed after painting 2 sets of fingernails and toe-nails.

After seeing a traditional nail polish eat its way through a paper plate, her quest was on and Piggy Paint was born.  Finally a kid-friendly polish without the accompanying drawbacks of traditional polishes.  It is free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, biphenyl A, ethyl acetone…and made in the USA!
