Ever since I tuned the big 3-0 last year I have been more concerned about long-term health. I realized that my body would not stay young forever and I wanted to make some changes to make sure I was doing everything I could to live a healthy and active lifestyle.
My goal is not to be thin, my goal is to be healthy. I want to be able to run around in the backyard with my girls without losing my breath. I also want to live a healthy lifestyle so that I am setting an example for my little girls. I want them to see that healthy eating and exercise are important.
I want to have a healthy heart. Heart disease runs in my family so I know I need to be proactive and do what I can to live the best life I can. Although I have already started to make some changes in my life I wanted to make a commitment to exercise at least 3 times a week for 30 days. The Quaker Heart Health Challenge will help me keep track of my goals.
