Neon Butterfly Nail Art with the OPI Neon Collection

Neon Butterfly Nail Art

This week I have another nail design that I created with a few of the polishes from the 2014 OPI Neon Collection. I used Down to the Core-al, Hotter than you Pink, You are so Outta Lime!, and Life Gave me Lemons along with the base white coat that comes in this set. This design is fairly simple and is made for fun in summer, not fancy occasions.

2014 OPI Neon Collection

I sponged the butterflies wings to give them a unique, slightly messy look and then outlined them in black to make them stand out a bit more on the white. I would recommend using a makeup sponge instead of an normal, cleaning sponge because the bubbles in the sponge are smaller creating a better look for the butterfly wings. This design doesn’t show off the neon quality of the colours as well as my last design did, but it makes for a great summer design non the less.  If you want to check out what they will look like painted solidly check out my last post.

Butterfly Nail Art Neon

I really love using these neon colours on my nails. They are so perfect for summer! The white undercoat is definitely required on these colours to make them look opaque but if you wanted a lighter look you could try them on their own. Everyone knows the less layers you have on your nails, the longer they will last without chipping.

My favorites from this collection are Down to the Core-al,You are so Outta Lime! and Life Gave me Lemons.
