The Maytag Maxima XL Washer & Dryer Clean Even Your Biggest Messes! #MaytagBloggerChallenge

Last week I had a new friend delivered to my home. This friend is tall, strong, and not scared of hard work or mess’.  It’s the Maytag Maxima XL washer and dryer set.  My challenge for this week was to try it out and see what this new friend could do.

Let me introduce you to my new Maytag washer and dryer and what we put it through last week.

Hubby and I were on a fishing trip in Northern Manitoba where the fishing was hot….and I mean 34 and 44 inch slimy Northern Pike and hundreds of Walleye hot.  We had a blast, but you can imagine what our clothes must have looked like after a week of fishing…and hubby hugging his Master Angler 44 inch Northern Pike (yes he did hug it…slime and all).

Coming home with a duffel bag full of slimy stinky clothes from a week in the bush you can only imagine what was in store for this washing machine.  Well we simply threw the clothes in and set the soil level to high and just like that, we had clean clothes with no smell.

My hubby also got the bright idea to try and see what this machine was made of and decided to wash is coveralls from his shed.  The coveralls that he uses for working in the bush, changing oil on tractors and hunting…you can only imagine what these things looked like.  All we did was pop on the Power Wash setting and 2 hours and 21 minutes later low and behold these things came out clean in a way that I had never seen before.  Hubby is now excited to get them dirty for me…again 😉

Having 3 girls in our home you can imagine all the delicate clothes that “need” washing.  We usually have our share of loads that require a more delicate touch.  We decided to give that a spin on the washer also and once again, they came out clean.  The dryer was where I thought the real challenge would be, however after pulling out my blouse and my girls tights from the dryer, dry and virtually wrinkle free, I am impressed.  And it was quick to boot.  Maybe I am just used to my old dryer that took a very long time to dry, but a regular full load is dry in approximately 40 min!

So I now have cleaner clothes in less time, and more options to clean MY clothes.  All options are at the click of a button.  Over the next couple weeks you are going to hear even more about some of the cool challenges we have going.  We are going to test this washer and dryer and make it do things you didn’t think were possible.
