Stella & Sam ~ Disney Junior Giveaway (CLOSED)

PRODUCT MOMENT:

Stella & Sam is a show, based on the best-selling book series by Marie-Louise Gay, that focuses on the relationship of nine-year-old Stella and her brother Sam. Stella with her red hair and BIG imagination is truly a star in the eyes of her four-year-old brother Sam. He feels lucky to have a big sister like Stella, who does ninety-nine things a day and wouldn’t dream of leaving Sam out of the fun! Besides, Stella knows everything, which is helpful when you’re a little guy who’s eager to explore the world…as long as someone else goes first! As they explore the world around them, each encounters fun, adventure and self-discovery.

MOMMY MOMENT:

While watching the show with my 2 kids (5 & 3) I was impressed with SO many things! First of all I thought that the theme song and music were quite catchy. Second, I was glad to see that Stella, the older sister, encouraged her younger brother Sam to use his imagination. Too often lately I have seen shows that do not encourage the use of imagination & play.

What I truly found great, was the relationship between Stella & Sam. Although Stella is 5 years older than her brother, she doesn’t get annoyed with him and willingly plays at his level. I was encouraged to see a positive spin on a sibling relationship.

KIDS MOMENT:

The dynamics of the show (with the girl being the older sibling and the boy being the younger sibling) fit well with our family as our girl is the oldest. My daughter said that she really liked watching Stella and Sam because Stella came up with so many cool things to play!

Stella and Sam primarily airs on Disney Junior, but will make its debut on Family Channel beginning weekday mornings in July!
