HOW TO MAKE SCHOOL MORNINGS RUN SMOOTHER

Whether you are homeschooling mom, working mom, or a stay at home mom, smooth mornings make everyone’s days better.

PREP THE NIGHT BEFORE

I know it is often said, and everyone knows this, but how many of us execute it? It is so important to pack the lunches, get the clothes ready the night before, and so on.

While it can be hard to put this on the list of things you already have to do each evening, it will be a game changer for making mornings run smoother.

MAKE BREAKFAST SIMPLE

Every night before I go to bed, I dream of making an elaborate breakfast for my kids.

Only, it never happens.

Keep breakfast simple in the mornings – cereal, fresh fruit, and even granola bars are a great way to help make breakfast simple.

You can always pack everything “to go” so that everyone can eat on the way to your destination.

HAVE FAMILY TIME FIRST

The thing about mornings is that you almost always need to BE somewhere. Wake everyone up a little earlier and spend some time together.

Instead of spending the morning yelling at each other, spend time cuddling and talking.

Your family needs soft, quiet moments together and this may be the way you get a smoother morning.

Mornings can run smoother and you have the power to make it possible. I have noticed when I am calmer, so are my kids. My attitude really does determine the altitude of the house.

Thanks for the tips!! I have a daughter with anxiety so it is sure hard to stay calm as bus time approaches and she is still not dressed as you help her pick out her tenth outfit even though she picked it out the night before!!! :(
