Mondays Montessori Moment

I’m sick! The day we got back from my 30th Birthday holiday I came down with a sinus cold, now it has become a chest cold and I am coughing non stop.

I wanted to say Thank-you to each one of you who left a comment on my post last week about my grandma knitting with our daughter. It really is special to me!

Here are some random pics from this month that I do not think I have posted about yet…enjoy!

Nesting Dolls
feeling the bears
and sorting them by color
painting and mixing colors
Washing the brushes
cutting wooden fruit
doing the shape clock puzzle
printing words on the chalkboard
filling in the shapes on the boat.

We will be starting regular time in the classroom in 3 weeks. Hard to believe how quickly the summer has passed by. Hard also to believe my little girl will start kindergarten, oh how the tears will flow!

My children loved cutting the wooden fruit. They loved it so much, I had to replace it two times. Hope you feel better soon!

Oops. Yeah, lol, I meant your oldest daughter, not youngest lol.

And yes, makes sense :) I was curious about how you were going to do that. I know when Racer comes home from school, he doesn't want to do more "School" related anything lol.

Tiffany,

Your comment makes me laugh! Our dd is a very confident girl at home, but take her out anywhere and she is the quietest girl around! I hope that she will come out of her shell as she starts kindergarten this year, but if it is like pre-kindergarten was it is highly doubtful!

Alex, This cold sure has wiped me out. I hope it is over soon! Both of our girls loves puzzles of all kinds! As for your last question, we will not be following what our Big girl does in kindergarten b/c I assume she will be very tired and most likely will not want to do more activities when she gets home (although we will follow her lead if she does decide she wants to do something). As for our dd who just turned 2 and the little boy, we have some themes schedules throughout the year, but will still follow their lead. Does that make sense?
